It is a challenge that in the Austin market is amplified by extremely low unemployment numbers in the metro. We have assembled an amazing panel of recruiting and retention experts who will lend their insights, market knowledge, and expertise with strategies focused on addressing recruitment and retention challenges head-on. This panel discussion will be moderated by Erica Pepe of Indeed and include as panelists, Melinda Gotcher, Director at Indeed Hire; Jana Berton, General Manager at Tri-Starr Group, Christy Torrance, Account Executive at Kelly Services; Kaitlin Warren, Divisional Practice Lead at Aerotek; and Milan Batinich, Talent Optimization Expert at A.W. About The Moderator and Panelists:
Erica Pepe: As a Senior Recruitment Evangelist with the Employer Insights Team, Erica helps employers optimize their recruitment strategies through pairing platform data with industry trends while bringing the value of Indeed's solutions to life. Whether on stage at events, during industry-wide webcasts or in conference rooms at various companies she is responsible for telling the Indeed story. Prior to this role, Erica was both a recruiter and recruiting leader at Indeed and before joining the organization worked in staffing at Robert Half International.
Melinda Gotcher: Melinda is a strategic leader with more than two decades of progressive experience providing leadership to talent acquisition teams. She actively consults with executive leadership teams on talent acquisition, employment branding, forecasting, sourcing, diversity and inclusion, process improvement, and strategic implementation topics.
Kali Sherrill: Kali is the Account Manager who supports all Healthcare Customer Support business within the Austin market. She works with a team of exceptional Recruiters who specialize in the placement of customer service, sales, and collections talent at numerous healthcare facilities. Together with her team, she strives to bring top-quality people and company’s together to create the perfect match. We understand that a company’s success starts with its employees.
Jana Berton: As General Manager, Jana is responsible for Tri-Starr Group's sales strategy and execution. Jana is an Information Technology veteran with over 15 years of experience at both public and pre-IPO Technology companies. Before Tri-Starr, Jana had Global and Americas responsibilities at Foresite, a leading Cyber Security company, Broadcom (formerly CA Technologies), and most recently at Datadog, (IPO 2019 - NASD:DDOG). In her 15 years of sales experience, Jana has helped design and execute go-to-market approaches that have increased annual revenue by nearly 10X. She has a proven track record with growing and leading sales teams and organizations. Jana is a C12 board member and holds a business degree from Bentley University in Boston, MA.
Christy Torrance: Christy is a highly motivated, energetic and results oriented Sales and Marketing consultant with Kelly. Providing her partners with superior customer service and solution-based approaches for their Professional and Industrial talent needs. Her goal is to foster successful business relationships by understanding the company’s culture, structure and operating model.
Christy is an entrepreneur by heart. She has owned and operated two self-made businesses and understands the importance of keeping people and teams engaged to reach goals. She credits her career successes to optimism and drive which has allowed her to earn multiple recognition awards, cars, and trips. Her motto is “When your passion and purpose become greater than your fears and excuses, you will then find a way.”
