Session Overview

This session is for all contact center professionals interested in knowing more about the current compliance landscape impacting the contact center industry. The session will be moderated by Stuart Discount with panelists Rebekah Johnson and Mitchell Roth.

About the Panelists and Moderator:

She is an active member of the FCC Hospital Robocall Protection Group, Chair of the Enterprise Communications Advocacy Coalition, and also represents the voice of the enterprise through her leadership on the ATIS IP-NNI Task Force, co-author of the SHAKEN standards.




Mitchell N. Roth is a founding member at Roth Jackson and serves as the Firm’s Chief Executive Officer. He is nationally recognized for his experience with state and federal direct marketing laws. He counsels clients on developing effective marketing strategies to ensure compliance with telemarketing, email, fax, direct mail, and internet marketing laws. He also has significant experience in defending clients in nation-wide class action lawsuits arising out of alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act as well as enforcement actions initiated by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general alleging violations of marketing laws. Mr. Roth works closely with several national trade associations in advising them and their members on compliance with marketing and privacy laws and is a frequent lecturer on legal issues affecting the direct marketing industry.

Stuart Discount is long time veteran in the contact center industry. For 25 years he was the owner and CEO of 1 2 1 Direct Response a mid-size contact center company.  

Stuart for over 30 years was an active member of PACE and its predecessor American Teleservices Association (ATA). For close to 10 years Stuart was the Chair of the Government Affairs Committee representing the association in front of regulators and legislators on issues affecting contact centers. Serving several terms as Chairman, led to Stuart being hired as Chief Executive Officer in November 2017. Under Stuarts’s leadership, PACE increased their stature as the voice of the contact industry.

Stuart has started his own consulting company in July 2020 and focuses on business development and advocacy services. Often interviewed by news organizations, meeting with regulators and legislators Stuart continues to represent the contact center industry as the Co-Chair of the Enterprise Communications Advocacy Coalition. The ECAC provides advocacy for companies that are affected by regulations that effect their communication with their customers.
