    Manage the operations of the Transit Store and supervise the Transit Store Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in the delivery of exceptional service to Capital Metropolitan Transit Authority ( CMTA) customers. Ensure customer transactions, inquiries and concerns are handled in a courteous, accurate and timely manner.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide leadership and direction to the Transit Store CSRs through training, coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, and holding them accountable for individual performance.
    • Ensure fulfillment of the retail Transit Store functions: Pass and ticket sales, lost and found recovery, issuance of CMTA customer identification cards, and general customer inquiry assistance. Maintain effective back-end processes and inventory controls to support these functions.
    • Manages and oversees POS system, and is responsible for daily closeouts and reconciliations of all CSR’s drawers.
    • Ensure the Transit Store facility is well maintained and stocked with current materials and displays.
    • Participate in the recruitment and selection of Transit Store CSRs.
    • Develops and maintains employee’s schedules to ensure proper counter coverage during hours of operation.
    • Oversee the Customer Service department records management process and work with the Records Management Officer to ensure compliance with the records management program, providing assistance and guidance to department staff.
    • Serve as a working supervisor within the Transit Store fulfilling customer transactions.
    • Resolve customer complaints.
    • Take initiative to improve processes.
    • Track and report on Transit Store functions,
    • Represent the Transit Store on cross-functional teams and initiatives.
    • Prepare operational reports as requested.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field. Related experience may substitute for education on a year per year basis for up to four years.
    • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory position, responsible for team member performance and retail cash sales operational performance.
    • Three (3) years experience using word processing, database and spreadsheet software; prefer experience using MS Word, Access, and Excel.
    • Three (3) years’ experience in a retail store with scheduling, cash handling and inventory control experience.
    • Two (2) years experience working with a POS system, Quick Books based preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Knowledge of agency policies and procedures, office management, and fiscal methods.
    • Ability to analyze and solve work problems; make decisions affecting the operation of administrative services functions; and to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others
    • Experience tracking department expenses, preparing purchase requisitions, budget, and status reports, managing contracts and projects, maintaining a complex filing system following established records management procedures.
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
    • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with employees, management, contractors, and the general public.
    • Ability to stand for most of the day at sales counter or while working with staff or lost & found items.
    • Able and qualified to drive between CMTA facilities.

    SECURITY SENSITIVE POSITION

    This position has been identified as a “Security Sensitive” position. Capital Metro will conduct annual background checks on incumbents in this position. A position is “Security Sensitive” if its incumbent handles currency, has access to sensitive computerized databases, has access to master keys, or works in an area of the Capital Metro that has been designated as a security-sensitive area.

    PAY RATE: $18.68 TO $23.35 HR
